I am sad every time I realize I will never have a proper old-school New England accent, full of ay-uh’s and lacking in r’s, since television and travel seem to have eliminated it with the exception of pockets in the Maine woods and north of Franconia. I must merely content myself with the occasional idear heah and theah.
