In a corrupt, poverty-stricken, politically-unstable country like Honduras, could an ideal new city state be the solution to the country’s economic woes?

How a visionary economist, a libertarian guru, the Seasteaders, mysterious Silicon Valley investors, the Honduran government, indigenous tribes and human rights activists are all in a mad scramble to promote or prevent the building of new free cities outside of Honduran law.

This is my favorite story for Quartz so far.
